For more than thirty-five years, Joe Hannigan has been involved in every aspect of audio and video recording & production in Philadelphia and beyond, from live concert sound to recording studio sessions for radio & television broadcasts and film soundtracks.
With his company, Weston Sound-an independent, full service audio & video production house-Joe produces audiophile-level location recording of Classical, Jazz, Operatic and Choral music. Clients include the Academy of Vocal Arts, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia, the Artosphere Festival Orchestra and the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and world-renowned conductors such as Corrado Rovaris, Dirk Brossé, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and Ignat Solzhenitsyn.
Joe is a classically trained musician with a degree from Temple University in Theory and Composition and is a contributing reviewer of audio products for MIX magazine and online blogs. With dual citizenship (US/Ireland) and an EU Passport, Joe has travelled internationally for concerts and remote editing sessions
